BikeCycle is a visualization of New York City’s bike sharing program. The application was commissioned by the MoMA Store as an exclusive component of their partnership with the interactive art screen company Framed. Using a year of data, the visualization replays activity in the system in real-time from the current day in 2014. Five different scenes focus on the activity, popular routes, stations, bikes and cyclist demographics and provides a slowly evolving artwork appropriate for the home or workspace.
