As a core designer of Timeline, Nicholas helped to drive Facebook’s radical reimagining of the profile. Timeline required a structure that could showcase an entire life from the monumental to the mundane while preserving all of the original functionality. The redesign introduced popular design elements like the cover photo and challenged many of Facebook’s established design components including color, typography and map styling.
